|
I just picked up a 81 rm250. Its used but does run, wheels are in great shape no flat spots or dents. The seat is original but shows wear.
Its dirty, forks are in great shape but seals need to be replaced. cables need to be replaced but could be brought back to life. Original bars a bit rusted but straight. tanks is clean, fenders are in ok shape, side panels are there but need to be replaced, shock needs a rebuild. , needs brakes, tires grips and a front number plate.
I know these bikes are kinda hard to find what do you think its worth? |

I guess it's worth whatever you paid for it.... How much did you pay?
Here in Australia they can fetch anything from $1500 in decent condition to $3000+ in really good condition. Probably a bit more than you would pay in the USA |

$550
There's a guy next to my shop that does right hand drive conversions for customs Australia. Most are Ford Raptors. There was 2 guys from Australia dropping off a f150 4x4 to be converted the other day, I was dropping off a rm465 parts bike I picked up for $25. They fly over to the US and buy big bore vintage MX bikes and ship them back and make a pretty good mark up. |

Might be the guys who run Dead Dog Racing in Brisbane Australia
http://www.ddr.net.au/
They do charge top end prices though probably double what they are picking them up for in the US..... |

I'm not sure what your '81 RM250x is worth.
But, this one is worth $500 for anyone who can lead me to the low-life miserable thief that took it 5 years ago. Or perhaps better still, lead me to the person who now has it in his possession.
The 465 seen in a couple of the photos was recovered last year.

Lot's to me, I have been looking for one in Minnesota, Wis, Iowa but no luck. I would pay up to $4000.00 for one in excellent shape, less
dependeing on shape(engine frame hard parts) must be good |

I have one that I am ready to sell. In pretty good condition. I put it on Marks but it hasn't posted yet. Let me know if you are interested.

| Huh? They're the stock units which came on the bike. The gold paint didn't. |
