 1973 Yamaha ATMX 125
Back in December, during the annual "Christmas Wish List" to Santa, I asked Santa for a 1973 ATMX. A few days later, Santa in the form of John Bergener of Roswell, NM, offered to sell me his.
So, my son Spencer and I took a 5 hour drive out to Arizona to pick it up, met up with John and brought it home. Thank you John for giving me such a good deal on this little gem.
This bike is somewhat outside of what I'm collecting, but I wanted it for two reasons. One, it was Yamaha's first serious attempt of putting out a 125 race bike. Yes, it's an enduro with a GYT kit but a lot of guys cut their teeth riding this bike and two, I saw this model raced back in 1973 by a guy named Hank Spaulding at Fort Riley, KS. Until the TMs and CRs came to the track, he won a lot of races on this bike.
It needs a few things and probably should be restored, but for now I'm adding few pieces as I find them and just enjoying it. Man, these bikes were tiny!

| 1983 Husqvarna XC500. Have title. Frame is complete (no loops cut off) and has been powder coated along with the lower fork legs and brackets, new plastic (from Husqvarna Parts), gas tank has been painted and new graphics covered with clear coat. Ohlins ITC shocks rebuilt, new 2nd over Wossner piston and bore job, Husqvarna Parts billet intake manifold, and Husky Products foot pegs. New fork seals and top-out washers, new Uni filter, cables. New chain rollers and rubbing blocks, new RK chain and sprockets (stock gearing). Header pipe has a dent and wheels were not rebuilt, but are sturdy and straight with new Dunlop tires. Bike Starts easy hot or cold. It is very fast. This would make a great Post-Vintage Gran Prix bike. Buyer assumes all shipping responsibilities from my driveway to your location. | 1980 CR125. A Buddy of mine bought this bike back in 1981 and occasionally rode on the weekends. Now the only time the bike gets started is 1 to 2 times a year to make sure it still runs. about 5 years ago it had a new chain, and rear sprocket put on it. About 2 years ago it had a new spark plug put in it. Still on original tires, stock piggybacks still have a little life left in them. The bike has been kept inside. Rear fender is cracked but all other plastic in good condition. Seat cover is nice. I cleaned the carb and the bike runs good. Have original owners manual and tank decals. $1200.00| | Brett Palmer

| can am 175 tnt. Im not sure of its engine size because the serial numbers do not match. The engine is # 65188 and I can not find it on line. The frame # 5851001841 indicates a 1974 tnt 175. The carb isnt the right one but the engine runs strong and shifts through all the gears.The pipe is perfect w/no dents the kick starter lever is broken and the shifter splines are a little messed up. The bike can be push started and a pair of vice grips for the shifter worked for the test Both wheels are round no cracks.the frame has a 2 in section cut out of it by the carb.The tank is in good shape no leaks $550.00 obo I can ship any where in the continental states for 250.00 or less in 2 to 3 boxes| | Jeff Denis

| Some goofball put a Kawasaki 250 motor in a 1979 KX125 I purchased. (got the bike along with an 1981 KX125 that I was seeking) Luckily they didn't weld on the frame but used metal strips to mount it... whew!
Anyhow... I think it is a KDX motor as the Motor ID is DX250AE000734
Am I correct in assuming this is a KDX250 Motor from a 1980 KDX A Series???
Also... will a 1980 or 1981 KX125 Motor fit in the 79 frame without modification? I'm finding it hard to locate a 1979 motor.

| | | Need some help or advise for a brake problem I'm having on my TM400. New brake shoes, arced to the hub shape, new cable but when I pull the front brake lever the lever will pull all the way to the handlebar although the resistance increases along the way. I had the same problem with my previous TM400 and when I flipped the brake cam 180 degrees it was resolved and when you pulled the lever it would stop when the brakes were fully applied. That trick did not fix the condition this time so other than a cracked brake lining, I can't imagine what to look for next. Has anyone had this problem and if so what was the source and how was it resolved. The brake lever should not continue to pull once the brake shoes are fully pressed against drum. In fact I don't even know why flipping the brake cam fixed the problem on my first TM, I was just satisfied that it did and didn't try to figure out why. | | | Need some help identifying some exhaust pipes.
I have acquired a few vintage exhaust pipes and could use some help trying to figure out what they fit and what brand they may be.
Here is a list of what I have.
1- FMF pipe not sure of application
1- Down pipe off a 1975 cr125 elsinore (brand ?)
3- Misc pipes , they all have the same heat shield but I am not sure of application or brand.
