 1973 Yamaha ATMX 125
Back in December, during the annual "Christmas Wish List" to Santa, I asked Santa for a 1973 ATMX. A few days later, Santa in the form of John Bergener of Roswell, NM, offered to sell me his.
So, my son Spencer and I took a 5 hour drive out to Arizona to pick it up, met up with John and brought it home. Thank you John for giving me such a good deal on this little gem.
This bike is somewhat outside of what I'm collecting, but I wanted it for two reasons. One, it was Yamaha's first serious attempt of putting out a 125 race bike. Yes, it's an enduro with a GYT kit but a lot of guys cut their teeth riding this bike and two, I saw this model raced back in 1973 by a guy named Hank Spaulding at Fort Riley, KS. Until the TMs and CRs came to the track, he won a lot of races on this bike.
It needs a few things and probably should be restored, but for now I'm adding few pieces as I find them and just enjoying it. Man, these bikes were tiny!

| 1983 Yamaha YZ490...very clean...would like to trade for 76-78 Honda CR125
YZ starts up nice...runs great. Bike is very clean.It has new side number plates and decals. Gas tank is in very nice condition. Petcock seems to be leaking a little, possibly to due two and have years of storage. I wonder if 58 HP has anything to do with what appears to be low hours riding time.Bars are nice and straight,and new grips. Pipe has a couple of smaller dents. Comes with new rear tire, front tire is almost new.front wheel has a crack in it, possible small flat spot in rear wheel. Rear fender has a small chip out of it and front fender is a UFO. Seat cover has two small tears.

| This is a 1974 Vintage legal motocross bike. $2200
75 MR250 gears so there are no bad dogs and the bike shifts very smoothly.
When I say new to the below items that means they have very low hours on them and they were new when I built the bike. Rode it a few times to get it running properly.
-NEW PVL Ignition...NO ADJUSTING POINTS. Makes a huge difference. Set timing once and forget about it!
-Rebuilt crank and new connecting rod with bearings.
-New clutch plates.
-New chain and rear sprocket
-New tires (slight use)
-New Mikuni carb and runs strong on the jets that are installed.
-New brake pads
-New thicker seat and new cover.
-New billet intake
-New Works performance shocks...Sprung for me..I weigh 165 Lbs. I have larger springs you an have if you want them.
-New Pro Form pipe.
-New UNI foam filter. The bike does not have the stock airbox on it.
-It also has some trick parts also
-Oversized foot pegs.
-Billet intake
-Billet engine bracket
-Billet clutch arm extension for easy pulling clutch.
-Billet rear wheel spacers
-Billet rear brake pedal
-Frame has been reinforced around the foot pegs

| For sale or trade- two Triumph / BSA conical rear wheels which were fitted 1971 and later. The very rusty wheel came from a B50 and the other has a sprocket for 520 chain which suggest it came from either a B50 or B25. Both have will need new rims but the nicer of the pair would be a great start to building a wheel since it is complete with backing plate. If necessary for shipping I can cut the spokes and remove the rims if desired. These are currently located in Southern Calif.

| | | I picked up this 76 YZ125 tank from a local shop, it is one of the straightest that I have come across but the petcock threads are stripped off. What is the best method to fix this? I was considering cutting the exposed threads off with a dremel then drilling and retapping the bung and installing a new nipple. Any other thoughts?

| 1982 Maico 490. $Make offer >$1500 Purchased from original owner (and friend). All numbers match and includes original title and owners manual along with photo copied manual for getting dirty. I bought the bike from my friend with hopes of making some money. Not going to happen. Because it sat in his shed for about 23 years, the internals were worse than I had imagined. I ended up replacing most everything in the transmission and certainly everything in the clutch side. It's got a brand new .060 overbore with a ported Wiseco piston. The compression is so great I've now broken the kickstart knuckle and possibly stripped the kickstart shaft. I've run out of time and money to continue. I have my two race bikes I need to get ready for the upcoming race season and just don't have the time for this bike any more. Make me an honest offer and I can deliver it to Diamond Dons in April. I'll list what's not new since it's a much smaller list.. the rims, spokes, gas tank and crankshaft. The motoplat ignition has been repaird to better than new by Vance of Motoplat repair in Michigan. The clutch plates are the good all metal plates instead of the aftermarket fiber on aluminum. Tires have only seen my garage floor. Carb internals are also new. Steering stem bearings/races, swingarm bearings/bushings, controls, cables, chain, sprockets, plastic, tires. The rear shock is a Fox with compression/rebound adjust also rebuilt by factory authorized Fox dealer and new spring. Forks completely rebuilt. All red is powdercoating. Please serious and honest offers only. If I don't get a decent offer, I will spend the $ for the needed parts and sell it complete and running for much more. My lack of time/money could be your gain. The shock bodys are kinda ruff, but the shafts are in perfect shape. not bent and chrome is perfect and the seal heads are not seized. One shock has full dampening and the other is low on oil. $150 shipped in the lower 48.
Also have a 1975 Cr125 engine. The engine is painted red, but it is a 75 by the numbers. The bottom end is tight with no up and down play in the bearings. The cylinder bore is 56.25 and just needs a hone. The engine shifts through the gear fine. The only thing it is missing is the clutch actuating rod. $250 plus shipping.| | Jonathan Willis

$1600 firm, way more in it, need to sell to pay medical bills.

Completely gone through front to rear, top to bottom. Engine rebuilt with NOS RH case half, resleeved bore on std. Wiseco piston, rebuilt crank, all new bearings and seals, has a clutch that is as new, even the basket has no wear, shifts as it should, new IMS folding shifter. Front brake shoes were new when I got it, it now has new rear shoes. New clutch and throttle cables. All new chassis bearings including steering head, swing arm and wheels. NOS K&N air filter. Fork seals and oil, has the stock springs, new boots. Rear shock doesn't leak and has a good charge, good damping and the stock spring. Nice stock pipe. Renthal vintage bend bars with Renthal grips, straight pull throttle. New levers. New seat cover and foam. Original rear fender, tank and side panels, new front fender. New front sprocket and chain, all rollers and tensioners, had a good rear aluminum sprocket already. Replaced the rims and trued, rear has new spoke set, new front Michelin S12, rear has a good Cheng Shin C755. May be something I am forgetting, just ask.

| Guys,
I'm chasing a good crankshaft for my YZ125G (3R3) project bike.
The thread on the LHS (clutch side) has been worn down by a dodgey loose washer and can't be repaired so I'm on the lookout for good crank, a half or engine bottom end to get the same.

Any leads will be greatly appreciated.
