 1973 Yamaha ATMX 125
Back in December, during the annual "Christmas Wish List" to Santa, I asked Santa for a 1973 ATMX. A few days later, Santa in the form of John Bergener of Roswell, NM, offered to sell me his.
So, my son Spencer and I took a 5 hour drive out to Arizona to pick it up, met up with John and brought it home. Thank you John for giving me such a good deal on this little gem.
This bike is somewhat outside of what I'm collecting, but I wanted it for two reasons. One, it was Yamaha's first serious attempt of putting out a 125 race bike. Yes, it's an enduro with a GYT kit but a lot of guys cut their teeth riding this bike and two, I saw this model raced back in 1973 by a guy named Hank Spaulding at Fort Riley, KS. Until the TMs and CRs came to the track, he won a lot of races on this bike.
It needs a few things and probably should be restored, but for now I'm adding few pieces as I find them and just enjoying it. Man, these bikes were tiny!

Rims are straight and true...no dents.

| Total of 3 Harley Davidson SX 250's.
I had planned to put together one really nice one from the three but haven't found the time. Here's some info about them:
1. Black bike – 2293 miles, paint and decals are nice, tank has been Kreemed. Bike was last started around Christmas. Ran OK but smoked quite a bit. Tried to start it last week and broke the kicker shaft. Oil injector disconnected. Newer dual sport tires. Nice seat. New battery. Rear taillights are not wired but are there. Wiring is not right – the bike starts regardless of the key position. Clear FL street title in my name. I do have the chrome pipe guard but it's not in the picture.
2. Blue – 2165 miles, original paint and decals, some dents in tank, had running a few years ago but not recently, Oil injector disconnected. Original tires, seat pan is rusty and cover is ripped, no battery. Wiring looks right. Clear FL street title in my name.
3. Black – parts bike with no title. The tank has no decals and needs to be repainted, but it’s in decent shape and looks to have been Kreemed. Motor is out of the bike and the head is off, but everything looks to be there. No battery. The only thing that’s missing is the seat.

| RM125M reproduction kit pipe. Here's a chance at a smokin' deal on a great pipe for your RM125M, TM125, or TM100. This is the first pipe we did, and we kept it around for a sample. We have it down now and can let this one go. It has never been ran on bike, and it is absolutely dent and ding free. It has had a bit of surface rust appear from time to time while sitting in the shop, but it has been always been cleaned up and is very nice. It currently is set up as non-repackable, but we can change it if you want. It also has the RM hanger on it, which can be changed to TM if needed. These pipes normally go for $275 plus shipping. | 1976 CR250M Motor. This motor was found in a garage attic (no kidding) along with a few other bits. It is missing the ignition and ignition cover, but is otherwise complete and appears to be relatively low-hour. It spins freely, and the rod seems OK. The piston is still standard and the cylinder looks pretty darn good. All shafts have great splines. The intake is age-cracked, however. I thought about using it in an MT250 project, but decided to just use a CR cylinder on my MT motor. At least the port will be on the correct side. What's it worth? I have no real idea (not into CRs prior to '78...). It's yours for $150 plus shipping (possible free delivery to Sandhill or Tulare rain date, but can't guarantee it). I'd think the cases, standard cylinder, and trans, etc. would be worth that. If not, shoot me an offer. Not looking to get rich, just a fair price. I know, too bad it isn't an early motor. It is not perfect, some chrome showing fine rust as would be expected from long term storage. Inside of tank is flawless with NO rust. Original Metzlers and probably Metzler tubes. It is not museum perfect but is as nice of unrestored original bike as you will find. Chrome on tank and paint is near flawless. Handlebars are repros and grips were replaced with NOS Magura. | | | HELP !!!!!!! Well got the KTM in the dirt today! Had the shifter to low and was bumping it into neutral over ruogh ground, Adjusted that and went out for round two. Didn't get far when the spark plug blew out of the head...... I noticed it would work lose during the prelim. starts and rides up the street in fornt of the house. It would snug up ok and I was hoping the problem wasn't what I suspected. Do any of the doctors here know if I can install a thread cert without pulling the head? The bike runs great but I would prefer to leave the cylinder undisturbed due to the fact that this motor is Magneizium wich has a way of degrading over time. | I have some Simons air forks on a Yamaha SC 500 roller.
They are in good shape save the following
1. There is damage on the left leg where the bar came loose and the hub spun.
2. There is some slight pitting on the tubes above the slider area ( up on the triple tree
3. They leak.
I'm not exactly sure what they would sell for but I've heard they can go for as much as $1200. We can set that as the asking price, but I'm open to offers. I have pics I can send. I also have a basket of SC500 parts and a parts bike with a complete motor I'd throw in with the forks.

| | | Looking for info/help on Bultaco 370 pursang that I recently acquired. Have got the bike to crank, and when running, the power is crisp enough from top to bottom, but, wondered if a carb conversion was the way to go on these. My only complaint with the bing, is that I have a real hard time getting the bike to fire up. Can I get better performance out of a mikuni, and if I stay with the bing, what might improve my cold cranking? I am looking to purchase a 1974 Husky Mag frame, swingarm, and rear brake arm.
Must be an MK series frame, with proper swingarm gussets per CR model, no cracks or repairs at the rear motor mounts, and straight fork stop bracket. Swingarm must be stock, no modifications, with an OEM brake arm.

Bike is pictured with a twinair airbox , I sold the box and the bike is using the stock air box now . I also have 2 cylinders one std. Im not sure on the other , possibly std or 1st over & 1 extra head also some extra pistons . This is a 1 year only bike and hard to find . | | | Suzuki Phlolina Yellow Paint formulation. Does anyone have a good pant formulation to match the 1975-1977 Suzuki RM yellow? I have tried color matching by machine to original NOS plastic and can match dead on the yellow under florescent lighting but then take it in direct sunlight and it turns orange, I have had it matched under direct sunlight and then under florescent light it turns green. I have all original plastic and only want to paint the tank to match the plastic. Also, I am in California and with city/State and EPA regulations it take away many of the formulations that could be used in the past.

| 78/79 YZ250/400 Monoshock with remote resivoir. "Scotts" is the name on the stickers on the shock and resivoir. Believe this is the same company that makes the stearing stabilizers. Very cool resivoir, shaped like the vintage Works shock body. Don't know the history of the shock, so fresh oil, nitrogen, bottom out bumper etc... are probably a good idea. | I have cash and parts to trade for the following -
I need 81 – 83 RM Suzuki Plastic – want cosmetically challenged items, but nothing broken or with any major cracks – nicks and cuts OK – I can work with the finish. I need a rear fender, tank (250 – 465 Air Cooled) and side panels. The inner shock protector would be groovy, too. I also need a seat foam and cover – I have a good base.
I am also looking for 1981 YZ 465 Fork Innards - rusty and crusty tubes and legs are OK – but must be 81 and must be 465. Springs and dampers must be in good usable shape.
Parts to Trade -
Early RM Full Floater Drum Brake 125 Wheel Assemblies – Fr & Rr
These are the Straight-Pull spoked Smaller Front Hub than the 250-465's complete – axles, hubs and brake plates with shoes, actuator arms, no broken spokes, and decent, straight rims. They are used, but in good, usable shape.
½ of an 81 RM 250 Air Box – the left side plastic is missing, but the rubber and right side are there and in good shape.
81 250 Pair of forks and lower triple clamp
86 – 87 RM Suzuki – mostly two sets of the items listed -
NOS Clutch parts – hubs, baskets, both types of plates, some un-ID-able clutch springs
NOS Wheel Parts – Front hubs, spoke kits (F & R)
NOS 125 Shift shaft and 6th Gear (driven)
Used Disc Brake Assemblies – not the discs, but the m/cylinders, lines and calipers – very beat but good for parts. The front lever perch is broken
Deep discount for the entire lot plus some other goodies thrown in that I have for these years.
1979-80 RM 125 OEM Pipe and/or silencer – Used, but in excellent condition – no dents or cracks.
